Vallde logo design

Hi, the last they my brother asked me to design his logotype. Well actually he asked for the web not for the logotype, but before the web he need a logotype. So I started doing things and here’s the logo I created.

And also I’m starting to sketch the web, which, by now, will be built in wordpress, and it will include a very basic and simple blog,  the portfolio and some other section like About and Contact.

PD: He don’t care about how I design his logo, so it’s like a totalfree job, I can do whatever I want. Sure it will change in future when he will know about which kind of website, style, etc he want to represent himself.

Mr. Chicken!

That’s about an exercice we made on the university, just simple, I just tried to be a bit original and funny. The thing was to take a photo about a song they show us. The song was played by the band: Manos de topo. Actually the song was “Es Feo“. If you listen to this song (or whatever played by the same group) you will tink it’s so strange, and it is, it sounds like a crying chicken (and not as a bad thing, just as a curious opinion) and that’s why I decided to take this photo:

Yes, he (my bro) wears a chicken costume made from two different t-shirts, some buttons, a yellow clothespin and… a red dirty shorts. It could by a nice album cover for this group, maybe some day I’ll propose them!.

Hi, I upload a little storyboard I made as an exercice in the university. Like the idea but think it can be so better, but anyway, here’s the result.

Need to do more things, currently I’m working in some projects but they’re not enought finished to be shown. -__-

13 card

That’s a card for a magazine-card-based named Travelling. It had as theme the numner 13 as the bad lucky number. So I think that the message it’s obvious, just a little of black humor.

For these magazine I made another card but it was, just not enough nice…

CSS3 Rounded Corners for all browsers

Well, this post will be a simple tutorial of how to make rounded corners on your blog or website using css. I’ve searching for that on the Internet in order to apply it on this blog, and I found some solutions, but I wanted a simple one.

So, first Ithere are the simpe tutorials that explains you that you can do it with corner images but there are more simple ways. There’s a simple standard property, but it doesn’t work with all the browser. Each browser have a property to do it in CSS:

Standard:

.rounded-corners
{
border-radius: 10px;
}

And, in order to add diffrent values in each corners:

.rounded-corners
{
border-top-right-radius = 10px;
border-bottom-right-radius = 10px;
border-bottom-left-radius = 10px;
border-top-left-radius = 10px;
}

Firefox:

Properties for firefox start with the prefix: -moz. Here we have the short way to add a property to all the corners:

.rounded-corners
{
-moz-border-radius: 10px;
}

And the full way:

.rounded-corners
{
-moz-border-radius-topright = 10px;
-moz-border-radius-bottomright = 10px;
-moz-border-radius-bottomleft = 10px;
-moz-border-radius-topleft = 10px;

Only for IE 8 and higher. Short way:

So, in oreder to implement the property to all browsers you should have something like this in your stylesheet:

And, to apply differnt values in each corner tu can do things like this:

Important: in order to work correctly in Safari, I reomend you to use the decomposed way of the code to apply different values in each corner. I say that because I had problems trying to get it work in my blog until I decided to put it in the full way for Safari.

So simply you need to add the above lines in your elements css, sou, if you have #div, you may put this lines it will be the same but with your “#div name” instead of “.rounded-corners”

We wish some day we will have more standards so this way we won’t need to apply all this different codes, but well, it is so simple this way in comprarision with the image-corner’s option.

Malditos Logotype

Hey, well , since now I writed in spanish but now I decided to make it in english, that way more people can understand it and I practice too. Here’s the logotype I made for a World of Warcraft clan (currently the one where my girlfriend was playing on).

I tried to imitate the Warcraft world graphic styles what I wanted to try someday. I think the result it’s not bad, maybe it could be more original, but I like it. And the people of the clan was very happy with that logo (I think and wish).

Meristation Shirts

Bueno, hace un par de meses me presenté al concurso que Meristation anunciaba en el que se proponia diseñar una camiseta para dicha empresa que despés se pondría en venta en Pampling.com, página web que basa su funcionamiento en un concurso contante dl que salen ganadoras camisetas que como premio, són vendidas.

Estas dos són las dos propuestas que hice para el concurso, personalmente… me gustán las dos, bastante (no, no digo que sean perfectas, xD, pero me gustan) aunque también habían de mejores y de no tan mejores y ganaron algunas que molaban más que otras.

Mmmm, colores un poco saturadillos pero bueno)

I esta es la segunda de ellas:

Sprites

Bien, el caso es que mi hermano y unos colegas están desarrollando un juego en 2 dimensiones y el caso es que tenia la oportunidad de hacer algunos sprites y bocetos, aunque alomejor estos no sean los que finalmente salgan en el juego, que por cierto ha sido seguramente inspirado por el gran Braid , Toda una maravilla en programación y temas visuales también. En fin, os pongo el boceto de protagonista que hice a partir de uno que me pasarón y el sprite animado de uno de los típicos malos del juego que básicamente viene a ser un cañón. Don’t know why but seems that, either with plugin, vimeo doesn’t want to load correctly (and faster) on wordpress blogs (at least on mine’s).

Sitges 08, maquetación

Este es el resultado de una simulación de libro retrsopectivo del festival de cinema fantàstic de sitges. No està entero, pero si más no, es un mostrario de los diferentes tipos de página que habría en el libro. Si quereis verlo a mayor tamaño, clicad encima y se os habrirá en una ventana a parte.
La página de issuu es realmente útil.

Jooho logo

Bueno, otra cosa para un ejercicio de clase de After Effects, hacer un anuncio de una bebida de durada 25 segundos, pero antes, conceptualización del logotipop i animación de este mismo.

En mi caso queria hacer una bebida de caracter joven de naranja, rollo Fanta o Kas, pero de zumo natural de naranja. El primer logotipo, que pretendia ser un logo sencillico i fácil de montar, me lo tiraron por el suelo:

Así que lo remodelé y parece que coló, ahora tocará animarlo, cosa ya empezada, pero de momento no gusta no.

Y eso es todo, y bueno apuntar que los colores no són los que en realidad són, no pregunteis poruqué pero en realidad son más oscuros y apagados aqui les sobra brillo.
